A celebrity and an entrepreneur at the same time? Are you mind blown? It’s more common than you think.

  • Rihanna started Fenty Beauty and made a whopping $1.4 billion out of it. (Billion, you read it right.)

For reference, Gary Vaynerchuk, the inspirational writer and entrepreneur is worth around $200 million or so.

  • Kim Kardashian raised around $66m for her startup — Shoedazzle.

So it’s more common than you might think. But let me tell you the Jessica Alba entrepreneurship story swiftly before digging into how her company’s market cap fell from $1.5 billion to $150 million.

Jessica Alba Was Sick Of It

In 2008, she did two things:

  • Wrapped up a movie called “The Eye” — which was not that good.
